I already heard about this from many SEO’s and internet marketers. It makes sense when i recently read an article Google TrustRank and Google Sandbox. According to the article and many search engine optimizers many search engines including search engines guru Google does not put value to a newly registered domains unless it’s registration period is at least 2 years.

Google Sandbox filter is effective only for newly registered domains but it is flexible with large domains who has been up for while (e.g. MSN, Yahoo, NYtimes etc.). I also read in many articles that Google add extra value to domains like .gov and .edu. So, if you have big budget for your website SEO, you can buy a link or advertise on a trusted websites like these. It will bypass the Google Sandbox filter and there will be a big possibilities that your website will be listed in Google SERP very soon. Otherwise, it’s highly recommended that you buy a domain name for at least 2 years if you do not want to wait 6-8 months just to show up in Google.
